The Current State of the Economy: Part I

Published by coolfinds at 12:48 pm under Worth Publishing Edit This

In general, I try to avoid words on this blog and just go with funny pictures and political cartoons that are reflective of what I think the general vibe is out there among the United States population and even abroad.  But I figured since it’s Friday and I just ate come chocolate that maybe it’s time I tested out the old keyboard and make sure it’s still working. As we all know (all too well), our economy failed us recently due to stupid government policies (or lack thereof), gay wall street greedy bastards, and Barney Frank.  Barney Frank gave out loans and pushed banks to give out loans to people who clearly couldn’t pay them back, gay wall street greedy bastards bought sold all sorts of crazy financial things nobody even understands or could explain in less than a three-day conference retreat in the mountains of Virginia (or Alaska — “woot” to Palin — what happened to her?), and stupid government policies just sat back and watched as the whole entire economic system of the greatest country in the world fell to pieces before their very eyes. Now, we are recovering from all that.  The government threw our cash all over the place to various people who asked for it (including gay companies like GM who were never able to make a decent car) and we’ll have to spend the next couple of decades (or centuries) trying to figure out how to pay all that money back to ourselves.  In the meantime, unemployment has soared, retail stores have closed all over the country, popular businesses that once thrived are now foder for high school history textbooks (Circuit City), and the government has not even hinted at lowering taxes or helping the average joe in really any way whatsoever.Needless to say, it’s an interesting time.  My prediction for a succuessful America involves the following:

  •  A qualified president
  • Lower taxes
  • Tax breaks for businesses to hire, start-up, and/or expand
  • Attention to power, fuel, sustainable energy source(s)
  • Weeding out of all corrupt politicians including but not limited to: Barney Frank, Deval Patrick, and Barack Obama.
  • Actual HELP to the lower classes INSTEAD of just cash handouts and free rent
  • A revamping of the educational system to include options for higher education for the lower class
  • A new, major unbiased media source

I’m sure we could all add a few things to this list and we should — then we should vote for the candidates that feel the same way regardless of whether they are democrat or republican.  Where’s my soap box?  Oh yeah, it’s right under my feet…
